People matter and time with people helps us build community and feel like we belong in special ways!
We have several groups where people find a chance to get connected and go deeper. These groups are places where you can make new friends for the journey.
Book Group: This group meets on the 4th Thursday of each month to discuss a book that they are reading. They meet at the church at 6:00 PM, either in the church library or on the patio, depending on the season and the weather. Like to read? Join them!
Men’s Ministry Group: The 2nd Monday of each month at 6:30 we gather. We usually meet at the church but sometimes we meet in someone’s back yard, in a local restaurant or other places. Our pattern is to enjoy food and conversation, share in a Bible study led by one of us, and then to close with support and prayer. This has been a great group and there’s always room for pone more at the table!
Prayer Shawl Group: Like to knit or crochet? Or are you someone who wants to learn – they’ll teach new people how to get started. The group meets at 9:30 AM on the first Saturday of every month and they focus on a mix of prayer shawls (given to support people in times of need or transition) as well as other things like hats, sweaters, socks and more. This is a wonderful small group and if you enjoy crafts and being with people, this may be a perfect place for you!
AA Groups: If you are looking for a 12-step group, here is the schedule!
- Tuesdays at 7:00 PM
- Saturdays at 10:00 AM
- Saturdays at 8:00 PM
Music Groups: Are you musical – maybe you just like to sing or play an instrument! Or maybe you are curious and want to explore.
- Choir at the early service (8:30 AM each Sunday) who sing special music during the summer and weekly musical offerings through the school year. Gary Hillquist directs this group.
- Praise team at the late service (10:45 AM each Sunday) which is an ensemble that plays music and leads singing. We have guitar, bass, drums, clarinet, violin and others playing – so if you are interested in this you can talk to Jeff Grosser who directs this team.
