Sermons

christ has died risen will come

We use the Narrative Lectionary (a series of Bible lessons that walk us through the Bible each year). This year we use Luke’s Gospel to dig into the life, death and resurrection of Jesus and how he can touch and change lives today. Each week our message looks through the biblical lens and sees what God has to say to us about being loved by God and following Jesus today. Pastor Dave has a Doctor of Ministry in preaching and it is a high priority for his work – so preaching is a focus of our ministry.

The focus of a good sermon is biblically grounded and points to the life, death and resurrection of Jesus as the central place where we discover God is loving, gracious and desires for all of us to find life in all its fullness. This is the “Good News” of the gospel – that God will do anything to love us (even die on a cross) and that God will not let even death stop God from loving us (the persistent love revealed in the resurrection of Jesus).

Each week our message is a central part of worship. You can see this week’s sermon by going to the worship page and watching worship. If you simply want to listen to the sermon, just fast forward to the sermon and press play. The message for the week is waiting for you.
